Post Phillip Island MotoGP race analysis:
Warm-up actually put Stoner further ahead in my analysis. I now expected a win by 7.1 seconds. The margin was actually 6.8 seconds. So apologies for the difference.
And a genuine apology for underestimating Capirossi. He was actually the 6th fastest (I had him 7th) by fastest lap times but again he chose the right tyres and managed them better than Melandri while the Michelins of Rossi and Pedrosa did drop (as I feared) in grip after laps 7 and 8 respectively.
With hindsight I can see why I undervalued Loris, and I was lucky not to have had a big loss here.
Randy de Puniet again disappointing to finish 27 seconds from the lead, albeit 6th position He and the Kwacka should have been faster.
Rest of analysis I felt was good. What did you think ?
