Philip Island MotoGP - always a good one to watch. sunny

Stoner has shown persistent fastest form in (partially wet) practices and will win by 6.1s from Rossi and Pedrosa who will both scrap together to the finishing line.

4th (if he doesn't crash) will be de Puniet then Capirossi and Barros; then Hayden then Melandri.

THE toughest MotoGP race for tyre design and durability too - so that may turn the tables.

Race starts at 06:00 our time Sleep Sleep Sleep

Warm-up will knock the winning 6.1s gap down a bit (by a second or so).

I'll be tucked up in bed and watch it later while counting my losses. affraid

Post Phillip Island MotoGP race analysis:

Warm-up actually put Stoner further ahead in my analysis. I now expected a win by 7.1 seconds. The margin was actually 6.8 seconds. So apologies for the difference. Wink

And a genuine apology for underestimating Capirossi. He was actually the 6th fastest (I had him 7th) by fastest lap times but again he chose the right tyres and managed them better than Melandri while the Michelins of Rossi and Pedrosa did drop (as I feared) in grip after laps 7 and 8 respectively.

With hindsight I can see why I undervalued Loris, and I was lucky not to have had a big loss here.

Randy de Puniet again disappointing to finish 27 seconds from the lead, albeit 6th position He and the Kwacka should have been faster.

Rest of analysis I felt was good. What did you think ? flower
